Learn about fair housing practices and laws at one of two free upcoming workshops.
The first will be a three-hour workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, June 13, at Phoenix City Hall, assembly room A, 200 W. Washington St. and will offer ADRE-authorized fair housing REALTOR re-licensing credit. Also a two-hour workshop will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Mesquite Branch Library, 4525 E. Paradise Village Pkwy. .
The workshops, sponsored by the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, will explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums and mobile home parks.
It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants or customers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or familial status.
