Sky Harbor Labor Day Travel Tips

Stage & Go Opens! New Shops and Restaurants coming to T4

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is seeing record numbers of travelers this year and expects a busy Labor Day weekend. People visiting the airport this weekend will notice some changes.

The Stage & Go Lot is a new area where drivers wait in their vehicles, free of charge, while passengers deplane, pick up luggage and walk out to the curb. The lot is located west of the Terminal 2 parking garage, across the street from the Executive Terminal and will open on Thursday, September 2nd at 5am.

The Stage & Go Lot will offer an alternative to circling the terminals. The first phase of this project includes 90 newly-paved parking spaces and signage with all of the airlines' phone numbers displayed. Upon completion of the second phase of the project, a flight information display board will be installed.

In Terminal 4, more than two dozen new shops and restaurants are being added. The look of the terminal will also change to reflect Arizona's natural beauty and diversity.

Because of the construction on level 3, those picking up passengers at Terminal 4 are now asked to meet their party at baggage claim.

Airport staff will be available Thursday & Friday, September 2 &3 for travel tips interviews at the Terminal 2 live pad or new Stage and Go lot by appointment only. Please call the airport media pager to set up an interview time.

A complete list of travel tips is attached.
