Home Maintenance Training Class
The City of Phoenix has teamed up with the Maricopa Skill Center to
offer residents a series of workshops to give residents hands-on home
maintenance and repair experience. Workshop topics include evaporative
cooler maintenance, plumbing, electricity, and interior and exterior upkeep.
The workshops consist of classroom instruction and in-class practice sessions.
Participants can take home materials from the class to use their new skills on
their own homes. Most classes are held at the Maricopa Skill Center
(1245 E. Buckeye Rd.), but once a month the class is offered in other city locations.
Phoenix residents whose gross annual household income does not exceed 80%
of Phoenix area median income may attend these classes free.
