The Goelet A.C. Beuf Community Center located in Paseo Highlands Park
is one mile west of the I -17 Freeway on Pinnacle Peak Road. This
48,000 sq. ft. community center is named in memory of the Phoenix
police officer killed in the line of duty in the area. The center
includes classrooms, meeting space, a gym, indoor track, dance/exercise
room, and a weight room, as well as a "one-stop shop" for
city services. Within its walls, the Police Department operates a
precinct station, the Development Services Department issues building
permits and reviews plans, and the Human Services Department offers
nutrition and social services for seniors. The park has two lighted
softball fields, one lighted soccer field, lighted basketball and
volleyball courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
