PETsMART Dog Park at Washington Park

21st Avenue north of Maryland (between Bethany Home and Glendale roads). Phone (602) 262-6971. The park is open from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The park features:

  • 2.65 acres, grass surface
  • Six-foot-high perimeter fencing and two double-gated entrances
  • a water fountain and two watering stations for dogs
  • Accessible to people with disabilities
  • benches
  • mutt mitt dispensers and garbage cans for dog waste.
  • separate areas, with independent entrances, for large and small dogs

RJ Dog Park at Pecos Park

48th Street and Pecos Parkway (enter from 48th Street via Chandler Boulevard). Phone (602) 534-5252. The dog park, which opened on October 2003 is located in the southeast corner of the park. Hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The park features:

  • Two total acres of grass surface divided into separately fenced areas for large and small dogs
  • Fully fenced perimeter with double-gates
  • Water fountain
  • Accessible to people with disabilities

Echo Mountain Off Leash Arena
17447 N. 20th St. Located in Grovers Basin on 20th Street at Cave Creek Road and Grovers. Phone (602) 262-6696. This park features:

  • A total of 2.3 acres of grass surface divided evenly into separately fenced areas for large dogs and smaller dogs under 20 pounds.
  • Mutt mitt dog waste dispensers in both areas
  • Drinking fountains in both areas

 

Rose Mofford Sports Complex
Located at 9833 N. 25th Avenue (north of Dunlap). Phone (602) 261-8011. This facility is 2.5 acres and is divided into separate, double-gated areas for large and small dogs. The park will be open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. In the event of heavy rain, staff may temporarily close the facility to allow the turf to dry. Each area features:

  • Water fountains
  • Benches
  • Trees
  • Mutt mitt stations
  • Accessible to people with disabilities

Steele Indian School Park
Located just off the park's parking lot on the west side of 7th Street, just north of Indian School Road and is open during normal park hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
1.83 total acres, granite surface with small, rolling hills and shrubbery

  • Two double-gated entrances accessible to people with disabilities
  • Separately fenced areas for large and small (20 pounds or less) dogs
  • "Mutt-Mitt" dispensers and trash receptacles.
