Yes, but alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited. You also can bring backpacks, bags or carry-ins.What items can I NOT bring to the event?
Fold-out tables, personal fireworks, barbeque grills, glass bottles, alcohol, contraband, pets, laser pointers, skateboards, inline skates, and kites are NOT allowed. Also, due to the large crowds, fishing also is not allowed during the event.What should I bring to the event?
Lots of cold water! Though water will be available at the event site, having an ample supply of cold water with you will make it easier to stay properly hydrated. For extra cold water, fill your jugs or water bottles halfway the day prior to the event and stick them in the freezer. Then pull them out and fill them with cold water just before you leave for the event. rIs there alcohol at the event?
No, this event is alcohol free.Do I need to arrive early to get a good seat?
Steele Indian School Park is a great venue for viewing fireworks, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. So there's no need to arrive early to snag a good viewing spot. Entertainment starts at 6 p.m.Where is the closest parking if I need disabled-accessible parking?
METRO Light Rail, which stops at the park, is fully accessible, including ample disabled-accessible parking spots at park-n-ride lots. There will be pay parking, including spots for people with disabilities, at the adjoining Veteran's Administration Hospital at 7th Street and Indian School Road. Several public parking lots in the area also offer disabled-accessible parking spots. There is no public parking at the event site.Can I bring my dog to the event?
Service and assist animals are welcome, however, for both your dog's protection and for the public's safety, you should leave your pets at home. The noise from fireworks displays is extremely stressful for many dogs and can cause them to behave unpredictably, threatening the safety of dogs and the people around them. The park's dog park will be closed the entire week prior to the event.Try this trick: the day before the event, freeze half-filled water jugs or bottles. Before you leave for the event, fill the rest with cold water. Having ice cold water by your side will make it easier to drink steadily and stay hydrated. Coolers and backpacks also are permitted.
