The Howard House is a miniature version of an 1870 colonial mansion. This famous dollhouse was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Karl W. Gullers to the Shemer Art Center in 1987. It is now on permanent display at the Center. Mrs. Barbara Gullers was the first President of the Shemer Art Center and Museum Association. The house is named in honor of Barbara Gullers' father, Frank C. Howard, who commissioned the construction of the dollhouse for his granddaughter, Julie Donnelly. The miniature treasures to be found in the house had been collected by Mrs. Gullers in her travels throughout the world. Some of the objects were also made by Barbara Gullers. The Howard House is decorated for every holiday, so there is always something new to see. |

Selections from the permanent collection are exhibited on a rotating basis, and may also sometimes be seen at other museums around the Valley. Below are some selections from the permanent collection. | ||||
