Bozena "Bo" Anderson: Has a Bachelor of Arts degree, Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona Art Major, two dimensional design, emphasis on painting. Graduate Suma Cum Laude."Bo" has said "Clay has become a way for me to combine the history and tradition of ceramics with contemporary ideas and methods of art today. She is inspired by the clay to find new ways to communicate its potential and beauty. It provides an almost limitless way for me to express herself and dig into her imagination". Bo is a member of the Arizona Clay Association and has been on exhibitions in various gallaries and museums since 1998 to present.

Nancy Christy-Moore brings over 25 years of fine art experience to her classes and workshops.  Her work is included in many private and corporate collections worldwide. Nancy's paintings have appeared in museums, as limited edition prints for the Hyatt Regency hotel chain, and in numerous galleries across the U.S. and Japan, with over 20+ solo shows to her credit.  Currently, Nancy is represented by galleries in Connecticut, Kentucky, and Arizona, is a juried member of the Arizona Artists Guild and a member of the Peoria Fine Arts Association.

Ingrid Dondaldson: My art is constantly evolving as I learn new techniques and skills. I started my art career creating unique beaded items and hand woven jewelery in 1990. My desire to create jewelery that was holistically influenced, which lead me to Lampworking and the beginning of Metal Smithing in 1995. I have been teaching at the City of Phoenix Center for the Arts since 1997, and in various places around the valley for more than 6 years. Currently I am in the process of obtaining a degree in the Fine Arts from Arizona State University.

Marilyn Eisenberg has BA, MA, and MFA degrees in design from UCLA and possesses an Arizona Lifetime teaching certificate. With 30+ years experience as a teacher, exhibitor and designer, Marilyn has developed and taught over 150 art and design courses for children and adults for more than 15 institutions across the U.S. 

Elliot Everson earned a BA in Art Education from Arizona State University, has taught high school art classes, and volunteers for the Phoenix Art Masterpiece Program.  Everson’s work can be seen in local and regional colored pencil shows and he is represented by a gallery in Cave Creek, AZ.

Peter Flynn: Mr. Flynn attended Fort Lewis College and began his career in the ceramic arts. He worked in the commercial industry and now teaches and creates ceramics as a fine art form. Peter teaches around the Valley at various art related venues. He is currently creating a body of work for a local exhibition. His experience is extensive in the art of wheelthrown pottery and custom designed pottery. He has been selected to create one of a kind "commissioned" art works from private citizens. He has a passion for cereamics and is also well versed in slab, handbuilding, sculpting and mold making techniques.

Julie Gilbert Pollard has authored and illustrated a number of articles describing her painting and teaching methods and has been teaching classes since 1987. She has won numerous awards and her work, Early Light, is featured in 100 Ways to Paint Landscapes. Her favorite subjects include desert landscapes, intimate views of gardens and underwater scenes.

Mark Gluckman is a professional photographer who received an MA in Journalism from Arizona State University and a degree in Photojournalism from L.A. Valley College in California. His worked has been published internationally in publications such as the New York Times, USA Today, and Phoenix Magazine.  Mark has extensive teaching experience and has lectured from California to Connecticut.

Sam Hodges : Is a veteran in the area of ceramics. I have instructed for the Mesa Community College, currently constructing four large ceramic tile murals based on complex goemetric designs created for a 16th Century Spanish palace. I am well versed in my technical skills as it relates to the medium of working with the assemblage, drying process, various firing techniques and use or application of glazes. Other venues that I have instructed at include: Mesa Arts Center, Artist-in Residence at Belluomini, Scottsdale Arizona.

Sue Hunter is a juried member and past president of the Arizona Artists Guild. She received a BS degree from Western International University and has won numerous awards for her work. She especially enjoys working in acrylic, watercolor and pastel.

Nissa Kubly attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison obtaining a Bachelor’s degree and a Teaching Certificate in Studio Art, and completed a Master of Fine Art program in Metals and Jewelry at Arizona State University. Nissa makes her own unique jewlery and teaching courses at community colleges in Phoenix. She has been recognized through grants from the 3M Corporation & Phoenix Art Museum. Nissa’s work is also exhibited by the Lisa Sette Gallery in Scottsdale Arizona and is a part of permanent art collections across the country.

Larry Nisula
attended Glendale Community College and specializes in bronze casting. He exhibits locally and nationally, including Arizona, Mississippi, and Colorado. He also teaches art to home schooled students.

Jean Noble received her BA from La Universidad de las Americas and an MBA from A.G.S.I.M. and is now pursuing her Arizona teaching certificate in elementary education. She participated in the Masterpiece Art Training Program at the Phoenix Art Museum and strives to kindle enthusiasm for education and art in young children.

Ann Riske: Is a graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in elementary education and library science. She obtained her Masters degree in education in 1978. Ann states that she learned the most about teaching young children was by attending workshops, classes and attending national conferences. Ann retired from the Mesa Public Schools in 2006 where she was employed for 30 years. She currently works at the Museum for Youth in Mesa Arizona as the Gallery Educator which serves children ages one to for years of age. Ann's expertise in the area of being able to provide and expose the Shemer students to varoius methods and techniques that interest, excites and provides students a fun and positive art education experience for all.

Donna Stenger is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Over the past 12 years, she has exhibited actively and received awards for her work in pastels. She is currently donating her time and energy to promote First Fridays in Phoenix.

Judith Walsh specializes in the ancient painting medium of encaustic. She has extensive experience using this technique herself and as well as teaching students. Judith has a BA from St. Louis University.

Joseph Wolves Kill: Joseph is a self taught artist and has studied the work of many artists in order to create his own powerful visual reflections. His art work has been shown throughout the United States as well as Europe and Japan, honors the rich cultural diversity and tribal individualism of traditional indigenous peoples. He works with oils, acrylics. His bold, vibrant paintings uncover hidden boundries between beauty and distrurbance, and represent the deeply layered colors and textured surfaces he sees in the world around him.
