Youth Sports (for volunteers ages 18 and up)*
Ready to teach the fundamentals of fair play, teamwork and skill development? Become a volunteer coach for a variety of indoor and outdoor sports including basketball, baseball, soccer and softball. No experience is necessary; just a willingness to make a six-to-eight week commitment. A background check is required for youth coaching.

Assist with tournament scorekeeping, set-up and clean-up for a variety of amateur adult softball tournaments.

Swimming/Aquatics*
Our aquatics staff need assistance conducting swim and dive team competitions and events. Volunteers can work as scorekeepers, judges, starters, announcers, water basketball referees. Assistance also is needed to help with set up and clean up for meets and competitions.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is the lead agency in the area's many Special Olympic competitions throughout the city and there are numerous volunteer opportunities assisting.
