Literacy Volunteers

Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County, Inc. is one of approximately 380 affiliates of Literacy Volunteers of America. LVMC provides adult education and literacy programs in the community and serves almost 1,800 students annually. In 1999, LVMC was awarded the nation's highest award, the "Secretary's Award" for Outstanding Adult Education and Literacy Program from the U.S. Department of Education.

The MCCD is the primary provider of Post Secondary Vocational Education in the community. The MCCD is a learning institution dedicated to student service and excellence in education. Conveniently located throughout Maricopa County, our 10 colleges and two skill centers provide affordable and flexible education to meet the needs of today's busy students.
