Squaw Peak Heights Special Planning District

Photo of house in the Squaw Peak Heights Special Planning DistrictThe Squaw Peak Heights Neighborhood is a stable residential area located within the northern portion of the Camelback East Village of the city of Phoenix. Its boundaries are north of Maryland Avenue from 12th to 16th streets and north to the cul-de-sac streets north of Glendale Avenue. The neighborhood continues to be an attractive location to live for the same reasons people were originally attracted to this area: proximity to downtown businesses and shopping, lush landscaping uncommon to a desert city, a reputation for good schools, and the architectural diversity of many of the homes.

On July 5, 2006, City Council adopted the Squaw Peak Heights Special Planning District Plan and the Squaw Peak Heights Special Planning District Overlay. The plan and the overlay became effective on August 5, 2006.
