Zoning Interpretation Letter Process

Please note the following suggestions for an Interpretation Letter:

  1. Written request of information needing interpretation
  2. May include:
    • Tax Parcel Number(s) (APN), legal description
    • General vicinity of desired location
    • Existing activity/use
    • Proposed activity/use
    • Zoning
    • Parcel map with site/area delineated
  3. Submit fee payable to: City of Phoenix (per Appendix A.1 of the Phoenix City Code)
      (see Zoning Fee Schedule)
  4. Address letter to:

Zoning Administrator
City of Phoenix, Planning Department
200 West Washington Street, 6th Floor
Phoenix, Arizona 85003-1611
