Changes to Phoenix Photo Enforcement Program

You see horrible car crashes on television and in the movies where people get up and walk away with barely a scratch or two. It is an image we are all familiar with, but the aftermath of real-life car crashes is far different. Some of the most devastating collisions come as a result of people running red lights. This dangerous act is committed every day at every intersection. It is always risky, sometimes deadly and almost always avoidable. Instead of slowing on yellow and stopping on red, many drivers are in a rush to beat the light. Some simply make the choice to break the law and run the red light; which is seen by many violators as an inconvenience not worth waiting a couple more minutes for the safety of the green light. It is a crime practically every driver commits at one time or another, but the next time you think of speeding through the stop light, consider a few things first.
