The Phoenix Police Department is seeking women and men with good backgrounds, who are at least 21 years of age, for the position of Reserve Police Officer Cadet. Police Reserve Officers are citizens just like you who attend the police academy. The academy takes approximately 8 months to complete. It's held at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy. The Phoenix Police Department pays your tuition and college credit is awarded. Once completed, you become a fully certified police officer. Once you become a Reserve Officer, you volunteer your time to serve and protect your community in uniform patrol or other specialty details, such as detectives. There is even an opportunity to transition over to a career position. It's an excellent opportunity to explore your interest in law enforcement, and the potential of a full-time career. The financial and direct benefits of serving as a Reserve Officer include paid off-duty work, annual uniform allowance, paid court and standby time, ballistic vest reimbursement, industrial insurance coverage, life insurance, specialized training and longevity benefits. The Police Department supplies the uniform and required police equipment. For further information, please contact the Phoenix Police Reserve Division office at (602) 534-9000. Also, visit www.PhoenixPoliceReserve.org for more details and requirements. JOIN THE TEAM! BE THE BEST! Join the Phoenix Police Reserve Division. |
