NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

MARYVALE VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the MARYVALE VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the MARYVALE VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE will hold a meeting open to the public on November 25, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. located in the new Community Room, at the Desert Sky Mall, 7611 West Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona.  (The new Community Room is located in the mall through the southwest entrance between Burlington Coat Factory and Cinema Latino.  The room is near the children’s coin-operated rides.)

 

NOTE:

·         Agenda items may be taken out of order.

·         Anyone wishing to address an agenda item must complete a speaker card.

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1.	Call to Order, Introductions and Announcements.
2.	Review and approval of the October 28, 2008 meeting minutes.
3.	Update on Metro I-10 West High-Capacity Transit Extension.  Presentation by Wulf Grote, Metro Light Rail.
4.	Discussion and possible action regarding the nomination and election of Chair and Vice Chair.
5.	Discussion and possible action regarding scheduling of the December 23, 2008 meeting of the Maryvale Village Planning Committee.
6.	Update recent village zoning cases.  For information only; not for action.
7.	Presentation by committee members about various meetings, conferences, and planning activities they attended.  Not for committee discussion or action.
8.	Announcements and public comment.  Not for committee discussion or action.
9.	Identification of future agenda items.  Not for committee discussion or action.
	a.	Z-89-08-4, a request to rezone from IP to A-1 on 6.07 acres located approximately 850 feet south of the southeast corner of 29th Avenue and McDowell Road (1329 North 29th Avenue) for warehouse/office light industrial uses.
	The next Maryvale VPC meeting is scheduled for DECEMBER 23, 2008.
