NOTICE OF PUBLIC TRAINING

BOARD MEMBER TRAINING

 

Notice is hereby given to the members of the CITY OF PHOENIX BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES and to the general public, that a BOARD MEMBER TRAINING will be held on September 12, 2008, at 8:00 a.m. located in the City Hall Assembly Rooms, 1st Floor, Phoenix City Hall, 200 West Washington, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

A quorum of several boards, commissions, and committees may be present.  This is a training only and not a meeting.  There will be information and training provided with questions and answers.  Discussion and possible action on any public body business will take place at a regularly scheduled meeting of that body.

City Government Structure and the Role of Boards and Commissions

Importance of Staff Liaisons

Attendance

Appointment / Reappointment Process

Importance of Participation

Open Meeting Law

Robert’s Rules of Order

Handling Media Requests and Attending Other Meetings

Ethics Policy and Conflict of Interest

Parking Pass Policy
