Step-by-Step Supplying Goods, General or Professional Services
  1. Comply with Affirmative Action Requirements by completing and filing Affirmative Action forms with the Equal Opportunity Department.
  2. Complete a Bidder's Mailing List Application from the Purchasing Division, using the Commodity Codes and return the application to the address or fax number listed on the form. The commodity code list does not cover all commodities or services. If you do not find a commodity code that applies to you, please contact the Purchasing Division Staff.
  3. If you offer commodities or general services, contact the Purchasing Division Staff or visit them during open vendor hours from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday at 251 W. Washington St., 8th Floor. If you offer Professional Services or to participate in purchases below $1,000, contact the Business Liaison of each department. If you offer information technology professional services, apply for the Qualified IT Vendor List.
  4. Review Goods/General Services Current Solicitations. For other opportunities including professional services, review Supplying Goods and Services.
  5. Review Goods/General Services Tabulations and Awards.
  6. If you are a minority, woman or small business owner, certify your business with the Equal Opportunity Department. The city's M/W/SB Services provide certification services, training, technical support, networking, SBE bid incentives, SBE reserve contracts and subcontracting opportunities.
  7. Review the Frequently Asked Questions.

For construction and subcontracting opportunities, review the Step-by-Step - Construction Subcontracting Opportunities.
