Accessibility ![]() Phoenix Stages is committed to ensuring that our venues are accessible to all patrons. We're working closely with
representatives from the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and
other local organizations to make certain our facilities comply with
set standards. The
Orpheum Theatre and Symphony Hall are equipped with ramps, elevators,
restrooms and special seating locations for patrons with
disabilities. Infrared hearing system headsets are available
free-of-charge at the checkroom on a first-come, first-served basis.
Several of the resident companies offer large print programs.
(Braille programs are available by request only from the resident
companies). You also can help us and our resident companies better serve you if you let the ticket sellers know your seating needs at the time of your ticket purchase. Infrared Hearing SystemThis system has been installed in Symphony Hall and Orpheum Theatre in order to enhance the listening capabilities of our patrons who are hearing impaired. Patrons may bring their own receiver or may sign out a hearing device from the checkroom. There is no charge for the equipment; however, as a security measure we do retain the patron's driver's license or credit card until the equipment is returned. Patrons may report problems with hearing devices to the house manager. Disabled
SeatingAt Orpheum Theatre, wheelchair placement/seating is available in rows 28, sections A, B and C. There is also seating for wheelchair-bound patrons in Orchestra Right, Section B, Rows 8 and 11. To go to the Orpheum Theatre seating map, click here (675 K). At Symphony Hall, the newly reconfigured main-floor cross aisles and additional elevators greatly improve accessibility. Wheelchair placement/seating is available along the back of the theater, as well as on the main-floor cross aisle in the center of the house in section A . There are also two loges located near the stage on the main floor and two loges on the mezzanine level. To go to the Symphony Hall seating map, click here (94 K). Restrooms All restrooms in both theaters are accessible to patrons with disabilities. At the Orpheum, a disabled restroom is located on the main level near Aisle 0. At Symphony Hall, the disabled restrooms are located outside the loge entrances on the main floor and balcony level. Assistance and Service AnimalsService animals assisting patrons with disabilities are permitted in all venues at all times. |
