Theater League

Theater League logoSince 1989, Theater League has produced and presented an annual musical theater series in the Valley of the Sun. The organization opened the Herberger Stage West with the Arizona premieres of Geech, Forbidden Broadway, Hello Muddah Hello Faddah (world premiere) and others. The League also co-produced the long-running hit musical Nunsense with Actors Lab Arizona, in Scottsdale.

Over the years, Theater League homes have included Symphony Hall, Gammage Auditorium, the Galvin Playhouse at ASU, New Scottsdale Playhouse and the Viad Playhouse on the Park. Our favorite venue, however, is the beautifully restored Orpheum Theatre, which opened with Theater League's gala presentation of Carol Channing in Hello Dolly! Theater League continues as the resident musical theater presenter at this intimate playhouse, part of the organization's circuit of seven performing arts centers around the country.
