Southwest Arts and Entertainment is a presenter, bringing outstanding dance companies, musicians and performers from all over the world to Arizona audiences. Founded in 1992 (and formerly named "Southwest Dance"), the mission and scope of this organization has broadened to include not only the presentation of professional dance companies, but also international, professional musical and performing groups.

AcrobatsSouthwest Arts & Entertainment remains a non profit organization, and since its 1992 founding, has developed support from arts commissions, foundations and corporations for the quality of entertainment the organization has consistently presented on Arizona stages. Audience and subscribers have grown in response to the more than 50 world-class dance companies, performers and musicians presented since 1992...dance and entertainment from Russia, China, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, France, Italy, Canada, England, West Africa, Senegal, Ireland, the Ukraine, Spain, Australia and our own United States.

Russian Flamenco dancerslectures/demonstrations and master classes for Arizona students by selected touring companies each season. Consulting services are provided to small, non profit arts organizations in Arizona, like Ballet Etudes, the youth ballet of Mesa, Arizona; Young Sounds of Arizona, the nation's longest established youth jazz orchestra and jazz ensembles; Center Dance Ensemble, the modern dance company of the Herberger Theater Center.

Southwest Arts & Entertainment is governed by a Board of Trustees and is a member of Arizona Presenters, California Presenters, Western Alliance of Arts Administrators and Arizona Dance Alliance.
