Traffic Volume Maps

These maps show the average 24 hour weekday (Monday through Friday) traffic volume in thousands on each street segment. For two way streets the number is the sum of both directions of travel.

The maps are downloadable in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them:

To find the traffic volume passing through a given intersection, add together the numbers north, south, east and west of the given intersection and divide by two. As an example, for Central Avenue and Indian School Road, add 39.9 (N) + 42.1 (S) + 44.5 (E) + 47.5 (W) = 174.0/2 = 87.

Each street segment is counted once every three years on average, so, for the 1999 map, the traffic volumes for streets counted in 1998 or 1997 were adjusted to 1999 levels based on past trends and engineering judgment. The same is true for the 2002, 1996 and 1993 traffic volumes.

For further Traffic Count Information, please call or write us at the locations listed below. Please allow 48 hours for response.
