Goal: This fund, which stands for Phoenix Assisting Youth By Advancing Civic Kindness, exists to provide youth community service leaders with funds, up to 750 dollars.
We define community service as a youth-led volunteer project that benefits or creates a lasting positive impact on the people of Phoenix.
These volunteer projects should be designed to aid a population or area in need of assistance. We value project ideas that are creative and unique.
Apply: To apply, you must be a middle school or high school student in Phoenix, or responsible for a project that will make a direct impact on the Phoenix community. Your project should be affiliated with a non-profit organization, school group, or a community service group. An adult sponsor should be available to help in the project.

- • While funding requests generally should not be more than $750, the review committee has the discretion to award more than $750 per project.
- • There are five deadlines for the 2006-2007 year: September 1, 2006; November 3, 2006; January 5, 2007; March 2, 2007; and May 4, 2007.
- The application must be submitted by a middle school or high school student, and the project must be run by a youth. No applications from adults will be considered.
- • All projects must occur within the City of Phoenix.
- All application information must be completed fully and correctly.
- • A committee of youth members of the Youth and Education Commission will review the applications each month. Make sure you send in your application at least one month before the anticipated project start date. If you do not send it in soon enough, we may not be able to fulfill your request.

If your project is funded, you will be expected to fill out an evaluation form at the conclusion
of the project. the evaluation will be sent along with your funding once your
application is approved.
