Community Arts Support

Arts Access Project

Overview

Arts Access Project grants represent one area of interest in the Community Arts Support Category. These grants offer a flexible area of funding assistance for arts related activities that foster the artistic development of organizations, promote the community's cultural richness, or reach out into the community to meet a particular need.

Arts Access Project grants provide funding assistance for activities that:

  • connect arts and culture to underserved communities
  • address perceived barriers (economic, geographic, ethnic, disability) to attendance or participation
  • emphasize exposure to, experience with, or appreciation of arts and culture activities
  • serve community by providing accessibility services for audiences (ASL, audio description, assistive listening, braille, captioning, etc.)
  • serve families, youth, elderly or specific geographic areas within the City of Phoenix in activities that engage the participants with artists and the arts

Applicants to the Arts Access category may not submit an application in any of the other Community Arts Support Categories:

Please carefully review the criteria for each interest area to determine the best fit for your project:
