Grant Requests

Rental Support Program applicants do not make specific funding requests. Once an applicant is deemed eligible for grant support, funding is calculated based on seating capacities and number of performances scheduled for the upcoming performance season.

This method of allocating funding support recognizes the value of each seat in a performance as a potential source of revenue for the applicant organization. No award will be more than 80% of the total amount of rent due for facility use (performances only).

Funded activities must occur between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Grant funds will be released in three installments (August, November, February) and must only be used to pay rental costs for performances at Phoenix Stages Facilities.*

*NOTE: Grant payments will be withheld if grantees are not current with their facility rental payments.
