Arts Education Schools

Overview

Arts Education Grants for Schools support projects or programs that address student learning in, through and with the arts. Applicants are encouraged to apply for projects that strengthen instruction and improve student learning in academic areas such as math and reading, projects that enhance the school's current arts programs, or after school programs that connect to the school day curriculum. Applicants are also encouraged to link their program goals to their school or school district's improvement plans, which include standards for student learning. Grants support artist residencies (where the classroom teacher and the teaching artist collaborate), arts projects, after school arts programming, and teacher training as part of a more comprehensive arts learning plan.

For a complete listing of schools and organizations that have received Arts Education grants in past years, visit the Arts Grant Award Archive Arts Award Archive.
