This internship is an opportunity to gain training and experience in creating a more inclusive arts and culture organization for people with disabilities. Approximately 20% of the population identifies as having some form of disability, and Heritage Square Foundation has been taking steps to become increasingly accessible.
The Intern will be directly involved in several initiatives to assess and plan current and future levels of accessibility at Heritage Square to ensure the Foundation is doing everything it can to provide an increasing level of service to people with disabilities. Together, staff and Intern will identify and prioritize multiple projects, some of which we will execute within the timeframe of the internship, and the rest will be scheduled according to availability of resources.
