items below are also recommended by the City Manager.
1. Consideration
of City Council approval to implement initial budget actions to address the
T2000 Bus Program funding challenges which will result in the equivalent of a
$5.7 million reduction in the amount needed to balance the overall T2000 bus
program. Approval is also requested to
enter into regional and federal processes for the federal funds. In addition, this report also updates the
City Council on state and federal funding changes that negatively impact the
T2000 program financial status.
2. Consideration
of City Council approval to continue the Fractured Aggregate Surface Treatment
(FAST) on residential streets as a part of the
regular street resurfacing program in 2010/11.
Funding can be diverted from the existing Residential Overlay program
allowing more miles of streets to be resurfaced at a lower cost per mile.
