The city of Phoenix won two Crescordia Awards at this year's Valley Forward Environmental Excellence Awards gala for its Neighborhood Stabilization Program and the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport's Sky Train™.
The city’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) received the Crescordia in the Livable Communities/Sustainable Communities category, and the Phoenix Sky Train™ was honored for Livable Communities/Multimodal Transportation and Connectivity.
NSP incorporates innovative technologies, building methods and environmentally conscious practices to create green affordable homes conveniently located near transit, community resources and other amenities.
Serving 10,000 users a day, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport’s Sky Train™ is the only public transportation campus in the world to receive LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The annual Valley Forward Environmental Excellence Awards are sponsored by Arizona Forward in partnership with Salt River Project.
