Executive Assistant to the City Manager Tammy Perkins

Executive Assisant to the City Manager, Tammy PerkinsExecutive Assistant to the City Manager Tammy Perkins leads two major citywide initiatives: the 2010 Census and Sustainability programs.  The Census assures an accurate count of residents and corresponding federal dollars for city programs.  Sustainability focuses on innovation in service delivery, allowing the city to meet present needs without compromising the ability to meet the needs of future generations.  

Tammy joined the city in 1982 as a management intern and since that time has held progressively more responsible positions, including assignments in the Budget and Research Department, Mayor's Office and Intergovernmental Programs before taking on the position of deputy director and director within the Neighborhood Services Department. Ms. Perkins served in the capacity of acting deputy city manager in 2006 before moving on to the position of acting water services director and now the executive assistant to the city manager role.

Ms. Perkins earned her M.P.A. in energy and environmental management ffrom the University of Denver and her B.A. in public administration and sociology from Drake University.
