Deputy City Manager Lisa Takata works with the City Clerk, Equal Opportunity, Fire, and Information Technology Services Departments. She is the City Manager's liaison to the Phoenix Municipal Court and Phoenix Employment Relations Board (PERB). Lisa chairs several Citywide committees on behalf of the City Manager's Office. For the past decade, she has assisted the City Manager, Mayor and City Council with City Council meeting coordination, agenda preparation, development of citywide administrative regulations, and coordination of the interdepartmental administrative managers group. Recently she provided leadership from the City Manager's Office on the citywide redistricting process.
Lisa began her service to the city in 1987 as a management intern and has since worked in the Community and Economic Development Department (1988-1990), the Phoenix CIty Council Office (1990-1993), Government Relations Office (1993-1999) and the City Manager's Office (1999-Present)as a Project Management Assistant, Project Manager, Management Assistant III, Assistant to the City Manager and Executive Assistant to the City Manager. Ms. Takata earned her Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science/Urban Affairs from UCLA, Los Angeles.
