Volunteer Opportunities at Arizona's latest greatest wonder...
The Phoenix Convention Center, a premier convention and entertainment complex, has volunteer opportunities at Symphony Hall and the historic Orpheum Theatre. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups. High energy, community-oriented individuals who enjoy working with local arts organizations are encouraged to apply.
Symphony Hall

Opportunities include:
Ushers – friendly and courteous individuals interested in helping clients and patrons during Symphony Hall performances and events are encouraged to apply. Ushers have the opportunity to positively impact the experience of visitors to Symphony Hall.
Usher Captain – is responsible for all usher duties in addition to scheduling adequate usher coverage during events.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Training is available every month and is scheduled as needed.

Orpheum Theatre

Opportunities include:
Archivist – research, catalog and preserve history of the theatre. Successful volunteers for this position will have prior experience working as a Historian, Researcher or Librarian or in a closely related profession.
Docent – lead tour groups through the historic theatre and answer questions about the facility. Outgoing individuals who enjoy interacting with people will be successful in this position.
Ushers – often give the first and lasting impression of a theatre-goers’ experience. They work as hosts and greet attendees, distribute programs, escort patrons to their seats, give directions and answer facility questions.
Usher Captain – performs all of the duties of the ushers in addition to scheduling ushers to work events to ensure adequate coverage is provided for each event.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Training is available and is scheduled as needed.
