Deer Valley Airport serves to relieve air traffic from Sky Harbor. As such, the Airport is capable of accommodating all segments of civil aviation except commercial passenger service. The Airport offers a complete range of services including fueling, avionics repair, maintenance, parts, flight training, new and used aircraft sales, aircraft rentals, a pilot shop and a restaurant. It has two fixed-based operators and is home to more than 1,277 aircraft.
With more than 378,349 takeoffs and landings in 2007, it is the 22nd busiest of all U.S. airports and the busiest general aviation airport in the nation. Phoenix Deer Valley Airport is a vital component of the city of Phoenix Airport System.
The Airport encompasses approximately 914 acres of property and is located 15 miles north of downtown Phoenix near the intersection of Interstate 17 and Loop 101. South side access is from Deer Valley Road. North side access is via Airport Road and Seventh Street.
