Council Subcommittees
Councilwoman Williams serves on three City Council Subcommittees
- Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee, chair
Provides policy guidance on issues related to streets, transportation planning, public transit, light rail, infrastructure planning, water, wastewater and solid waste.
- Public Safety, Veterans, Transparency & Ethics Subcommittee, member
Provides policy guidance on public safety issues including: police, fire, veterans, courts, and homeland security. This subcommittee will also consider how to improve and increase the accessibility of information and public records, particularly on the City’s website. This subcommittee will also study and review the City’s ethics and conflict of interest policies. - Downtown, Aviation, Economy and Education Subcommittee, member
Provides policy guidance on issues related to: development, uses, and events occurring within the City’s downtown, continued development and operation of the City’s airports, economic development, small and local business/entrepreneurism, education including early childhood learning and after school programs, and libraries.
