Councilman Simplot serves on two City Council Subcommittees:
- Neighborhoods, Housing, Historic Preservation, Arts and Culture Subcommittee, chair
This Subcommittee reviews policy issues related to neighborhoods, including special neighborhood initiatives, development of housing citywide, historic preservation, arts and culture.
- Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides guidance on issues related to streets, transportation planning, development services, land use planning, public transit, light rail construction, as well as infrastructure planning and issues such as water, wastewater, solid waster, WIFI and cable service and expansion.
