The city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department has begun a pilot program, in the area of Bethany Home Road and Missouri Avenue between 35th Avenue and 39th Avenue, to test the useful product life of Fractured Aggregate Surface Treatment (FAST), a form of chip seal resurfacing. FAST provides a single application of rubberized asphalt and pre-coated chips to existing residential streets. Applying FAST takes about one day and excess aggregate will be swept away and removed from the street, sidewalk, curbs and gutters before the street is open to vehicles. Residents in the area will be notified at least 48 hours before work will take place in the area. If you have any questions or feedback, please call the 24-hour project hotline at 1-877-349-1433 or send your questions via e-mail to ddavis@rhpartnering.com.
