Councilman Greg Stanton and his wife Nicole will host a child car seat safety check event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Target Garden Center parking lot located at 4734 E. Ray Road.

Certified child passenger safety technicians from the Phoenix Fire Department will inspect child car seats, ensure they are properly installed and provide safety and maintenance tips. The event is free and parents of children using car seats are encouraged to attend. Sponsors of the event include the Stantons, the Phoenix Fire Department and Target.
