Phoenix Bicycle Initiative Subcommittee

The EQC is currently comprised of one standing subcommittee, the Bicycle Initiative Subcommittee.

Striving to improve resource efficiency, air quality, public health, safety and welfare, the Bicycle Initiative Subcommittee was established to get more people on bikes more often.

The Subcommittee is a body of the public, devoted to making bicycling safe, convenient and comfortable. The subcommittee is dedicated to eliminating barriers to bicycling in the city and synchronizing an active and engaged bicycle community to stimulate local bicycle tourism and industry.

The four key areas of focus are:

  • Awareness
  • Safety
  • Convenience
  • Comfort
2013 Meeting Schedule

The Bicycle Initiative Subcommittee meets the fourth Thursday of the month, 4-6 p.m. in the Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington, as indicated below: 

April 25 – 14-West

June 27  - 14-West
July 25  – No meeting
August 22 – Assembly Room B
September 26 - Assembly Room B
October 24 - Assembly Room B
December 5 (in lieu of Nov 28) - Assembly Room B
