Certification Workshops for Small and Disadvantaged Businesses

The Equal Opportunity Department conducts free bimonthly certification workshops for small and disadvantaged business owners interested in doing business with Phoenix. Workshops are held at Phoenix City Hall Assembly Room B, 200 West Washington St.

The next workshop is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Phoenix City Hall, Assembly Room B.

Certification ensures that small business owners have an equal economic opportunity to participate in city business projects. The department hosts the instructional sessions to provide information about the requirements, process and benefits of becoming certified.

To reserve a space, call the Equal Opportunity Department at 602-262-6790/voice or 602-534-1557/TTY or email business.relations.eod@phoenix.gov.

Spanish Language Workshops

Two workshops are held in Spanish during the year for those who prefer to attend a Spanish language workshop. These are held in the spring and in the fall.

The next Spanish language workshop will be held in October 2013 at a date to be announced.

Can't Make the Workshop?

While the Equal Opportunity Department holds quarterly workshops throughout the year, there may be times you can't attend.  The link below is our standard presentation.  It may be helpful to you as you complete the certification application for the SBE/DBE program.
