Free certification workshops are held in the community on a monthly basis. These workshops walk applicants through the certification application and process.
Although business certification is valid for five years, you are required to submit an online Annual Update Application along with a No Change Affidavit, the Personal Financial Statement, the Personal Financial Statement Affidavit, and your previous year's personal and business taxes to maintain your certification status.
As a certified business owner with the city of Phoenix, you are required to renew your certification status every five years. To recertify your firm, complete the online Recertification Application and submit it along with the Personal Financial Statement, Personal Financial Statement Affidavit, the Affidavit of Certification, and the Affidavit of No Change with your personal and business taxes.
