On July 2, 2007, Mayor Phil Gordon signed Resolution
20519, "Environmentally Preferable Purchasing".
The resolution reaffirms the city's commitment to purchasing
environmentally preferable products (EPP) and developing an
EPP Program that integrates contract provisions for EPP,
considers price, performance and environmental effects over
the lifecycle, encourages other buyers and consumers to adopt
EPP, and rewards manufacturers and vendors with green products.
