Public Involvement
On Nov. 17, 2009, the City of Phoenix hosted an Agency Scoping meeting and a Public Scoping meeting to solicit comments and concerns on the proposed Phoenix Goodyear Airport improvements that include a new full-length parallel taxiway to support landside development north of the runway. - Federal Aviation Administration approval of Final Environmental Assessment – Winter 2010
The proposed improvements include:
- A new full-length 8,500-foot parallel taxiway on the northwest side of Runway 3/21 and taxilanes to provide aircraft access to the North Landside Corporate Development Area and the proposed parallel taxiway;
- Infrastructure to accommodate the development of corporate aviation facilities that could include a Fixed Base Operator (FBO), offices, hangars, apron, storage, fuel sales, ramp/tie-down services, etc; and,
- A new Access Road to provide vehicular access to the North Landside Commercial Development Area that would enter the proposed site from Yuma Road.
