The second annual Green Vendor Showcase of Opportunities event held on Feb. 7, 2013 was well attended and response from vendors was positive. Colin Tetreault, Senior Sustainability Policy Advisor, Mayor Stanton's office, provided welcome remarks and applauded the efforts of green vendors. In addition to the opportunity to meet city departments, vendors learned about business assistance/ certification programs, the city’s Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) Program, the permitting and startup process, the city’s new Vendor Management System, and the Street Transportation Department’s SBE (Small Business Enterprise) “One Stop Shop” website for suppliers and subcontractors.
