Do I qualify for Conventional Public Housing?
More commonly known as Conventional Public Housing, the City of Phoenix owns and operates four apartment communities in the downtown area. Apartments range in size from 1 to 5 bedrooms. Rent is based on income and water and electric utilities are included in the rent. Participants must open an account with Southwest Gas for gas utilities.
Single persons and families of low income who are below the maximum income limit may qualify. Adult family members must pass a criminal background check and have an acceptable rental history. Applicants must not owe any money to any housing program in the United States. The income limits are:
