After I apply, how long will I be considered for a position?

If you have met the minimum qualifications or pass the written exam for the position, your name will be placed on an “eligible-for-hire” list. Your name will remain on the lit for a period of six to twelve months depending on the position for which you applied. The date your name expires from a specific list is indicated on the notice you will receive from the personnel analyst who evaluates your resume and cover letter.
