CITY OF PHOENIX PARKS DEPARTMENT JOB OPPORTUNITY
RECREATION INSTRUCTOR
This position is classified as part-time and does not include benefits, with a starting pay of $11.39 per hour.
EXPERIENCE Completion of the 12th grade or 18 years of age. Any other combination of education and experience, which provides knowledge, skill and ability required to perform the job may be substituted.
AREAS CURRENTLY RECRUITING:
Phoenix After-school Center (PAC)
General work hours for this position will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may require working some evenings, split shifts, and weekends.
DUTIES:
- Plan and provide instruction in a variety of recreational activities as directed
- Assist children with various physical, emotional, and educational needs
- Conduct regular safety and security checks in work/recreation area and immediately report any problems in need of correction to supervisor
- Plan and implement PAC curriculum
- Help plan, publicize, and implement recreation events
- Under the direction of the Recreation Leader, help develop, maintain, and enforce policies and work site ground rules
