Obtaining Job Applications
Applications are available only during the posted recruitment period. A separate application is needed for each position for which you apply. Applications are available the following ways:
ezAPP application: To electronically submit an application, under "Current Job Listings," click on the job category and then the job title in which you are interested. If the recruitment process will accept an ezAPP application, a gray bar that reads, "To apply on-line for (job title) CLICK HERE!" will be provided immediately following the description for that job.
Note: ezAPP has a 40-minute time limit per application. Therefore, when completing an ezAPP application, we recommend creating your cover letter and resume in a word processing program first, and then cutting and pasting the documents into the ezAPP text boxes.
Download application: To download an employment application and, if applicable, related documents, under "Current Job Listings," click on the job category and then the job title in which you are interested. If the recruitment process permits applicants to download applications, information on how to download the application and any related documents will be provided immediately following the description for that job.
Note: If you are having trouble downloading an application, call the City Clerk Department Help Desk at (602) 534-4357. Currently, this download is available in Word 97 and was last updated on February 1, 2002.
In person: Pick up applications at the City of Phoenix Personnel Department, Application Office, 135 N. Second Avenue, Phoenix. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday (except City holidays).
By mail: Call (602) 262-6277 to request an application by mail.
