RECREATION LEADER
This position is classified as part-time and does not include benefits, with a starting pay of $13.02 per hour.
EXPERIENCE Completion of sixty (60) semester hours of college work and a minimum of one (1) year related experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or Education; or related field. Any other combination of education and experience, which provides knowledge, skill and ability required to perform the job may be substituted.
AREAS CURRENTLY RECRUITING:
Phoenix After-school Center (PAC)
General work hours for this position will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may require working some evenings, split shifts, and weekends.
DUTIES:
- Conduct and supervise programs/activities in a leadership capacity
- Assist children with various physical, emotional, and educational needs
- Lead, train and delegate duties to recreation personnel at work site
- Work with school, neighborhood and community groups on matters of civic and recreational interest
- Perform safety and security checks in program area and immediately report any problems in need of correction to supervisor
- Plan, publicize and implement PAC curriculum
