Request Restitution

Restitution is the repayment for expenses the victim incurred as a direct result of the crime. If criminal charges are filed and the defendant is convicted, you may be eligible for restitution. Restitution may include any out-of-pocket expenses such as: medical bills, property damage, lost wages, counseling, insurance deductibles, and other expenses not covered by insurance. A judge will determine whether restitution is to be paid and in what amount.
