Residents are invited to attend Councilwoman Thelda Williams’ District 1 community breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the Deer Valley Airport Restaurant, 702 W. Deer Valley Road.

This month’s guest speaker is Rusty Mitchell, director of Luke Air Force Base Community Initiatives Team.  Mitchell will provide an update on the United States Air Force’s evaluation of Luke AFB as one of the key training sites for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, replacing the F-16.  Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and Mitchell will begin speaking around 7:45 a.m.    

Residents will have the opportunity to discuss any city issues with Councilwoman Williams.  Breakfast is available for $4.39 (not including tax and gratuity). Beverages will be paid for by Councilwoman Williams.
