The Public is invited to join Councilman Tom Simplot and Councilman Bill Gates for “Crusin’ with the Councilmen” – a four-mile bicycle cruise down Central Avenue through the Phoenix neighborhoods that make up Districts 3 and 4. This biking event celebrates the narrowing of Central Avenue and the addition of bike lanes to this signature street.
The ride will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, at Grinder’s Coffee, 17 E. Dunlap Ave., and end at AJ’s Fine Foods, 5017 N. Central Ave.
“It’s a great way to enjoy the great springtime weather, meet new friends and see our city from a different perspective,” said Councilman Simplot.
Participating bicyclists should follow traffic and bike safety rules. The use of bike helmets is strongly encouraged.
